Hope everyone is enjoying their week. Not much new to report. Just a gigantic belly that continues to grow and change! I can't believe that I am already in my 25th week. The baby is moving around like crazy and Gavin loves to watch my belly move and shake. Cameron thinks its funny to place his hand on my stomach (like big brother) and push real hard. I guess it's a sign of things to come...poor little baby. He's gonna have to be tough to survive this household.

Jason and Gavin are in full swing with t-ball. I love to go to the games and watch 16 little 5 year olds play. Let's just say that they are just getting to know the basics. They are learning, however, and its neat to see how much better they get with each game.

June is just around the corner and that means 2 very special events are in the works. My two bestest friends, Laina and Jessica are getting married! I am so excited for them and can't wait for their BIG days! Jessica is getting married in Key Largo, Florida on the 9th and Laina up in Mishawaka on the 23rd. Their wedding's are so different (just like them!) and I am looking forward to how beautiful they will be on their day. God has really blessed me with amazing girlfriends and I feel blessed to be the one standing besides them as they take this next step.

We have ironed out the rest of the vacation plans (for Jess's wedding on the 9th) and we're getting excited. Although, I have to admit that I am a little nervous leaving the kids for a week. We'll be staying a few nights in Key Largo, but then are heading up to Coconut Grove to stay. It's a resort-ish area that is only about 5 miles from Miami and South Beach but will (hopefully) be a little quieter and more relaxing. We will also have a rental car so we will probably take a few day trips to other places...maybe the everglades??? I am really looking forward to having Jason all to myself...no kids, no housework, no job! I just hope that we take it easy and relax so that we don't feel like we need a vacation from our vacation!!!

Well, I thinks that's about it. Sorry that it seems like each post gets longer apart. I just don't want to bore you with all the little things :)

Blessings

I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.

I had such a great weekend! Being both Mothers Day and my b-day, it usually all seems to get crammed together into one big celebration. This year, however, we stayed in Lafayette and really enjoyed the time together. On Sunday, the boys surprised me with a beautiful card and even let me sleep in a little (by a little, I mean we were at church by 9:30!) Jason even let me take a nap that afternoon!!! Then, since the weather was so nice, we took the boys for a picnic in the park. It was so nice and relaxing and since Jason was there, I didn't have to chase Cameron around by myself.
-
On Monday, the boys woke up extra early (Happy Birthday Mom!) and went t0 lunch with good friends Melissa and Dylan (thanks guys). The best surprise was that Jason took the afternoon off work and spent it with me and the kids. We even got a babysitter and went out for a nice and quiet dinner.
-
One of the bigger surprises was my b-day gift. Jason got me an over-the-range microwave! OK, so some may think that it totally a guy gift, but I have been nagging him for months for one. He even shopped around to many different stores and scored this one on clearance....I have taught his well!!! We also ended up buying new flooring and paint for the kitchen this last week, so he has some major work to do now! I'll have to post pics of the progress.

Thank you so much everyone making my birthday special. The phone calls, cards and gifts were all very special to me. Its nice to know that your loved :)
Love,
ME

Just enjoying the weather...he would swing all day if I let him!

On our way to the Cubs game! Gavin was so excited about seeing the field and watching them play. He starts t-ball on Saturday (Jason is a coach!). I think going to see the game made him more excited to play himself.

What's a cubs games without cotton candy? Gavin loved it, but Cameron wanted nothing to do with it!

Here we are in front of the fountain that we walked 3 miles to see! At least it was a great day to be outside.

Hello again!

It seems like it has been forever since I've updated everyone on what's happening around our house. For those of you that check this regularly, sorry...

It's hard to believe that it is already May and spring has sprung! We have been spending more and more time outdoors lately. Although we bought our house last May, we didn't really do any yardwork except mowing. We obviously have no idea how to take care of a lawn, however, and are paying the price with lots of annoying little dandelions popping up everywhere! A few trips to Lowes has helped a little....We have also started thinking about new flowerbeds and shrubs. We've found out just how much work having a big yard is!

We took Cameron to his first Cubs games a few Fridays ago and took the opportunity to spend the night in Chicago. Cameron did NOT enjoy the game and was rather antsy, but it was still fun. Gavin at least thought it was great! We ate at the Rainforest cafe that night and Cameron did think that was quite cool and interesting! He got a kick out of the giant fish in the tanks. On Saturday (after the game) we headed downtown to the Chicago children's museum and spent the day there and walking around downtown. We ended up heading over 1.5 miles (from Navy Pier to the Buckingham fountain) to see a fountain that ended up being worked on :( Oh, well, it was fun being downtown and then getting to walk around the lake.

Above are pictures over the last few weeks. I hope you are all having a great week!

Love ya,
Jaime
